Discover those that are plentiful in the surrounding woodlands and fields as well as the “wild weeds ” that grow in our own backyards.  Learn the benefits of the most versatile and useful plants to balance\, harmonize and promote health\, used by generations of Native Americans\, for everything from relieving the itch of poison ivy to balancing sugar levels.   \nTips for harvesting and using these plants will be discussed including making compresses\, tisanes\, poultices\, tinctures\, oils and salves from the many gifts Mother Nature provides. \n \nOnline Registration $49\nIn-person Registration $45 \nDel Bachand is a native trained herbalist and consultant who has spent over 50 years expanding her knowledge of North American and European herbs\, with an emphasis on working with plants native to New England.  She is a featured speaker at holistic venues\, writes for several publications and leads dynamic seminars and workshops for personal and professional growth throughout the northeast.

DESCRIPTION:Losing a loved one is never easy.  The emotions are often complex\, ranging from numbness to overwhelming feelings of loneliness or grief.  Oftentimes\, if you were also the primary caregiver for a loved one who had an illness\, the grief also carries with it other complicated emotions.  Please know that you are not alone. \nIf you need support in trying to navigate the changes in your life\, please join us in a place of safety and comfort with others who have also experienced loss.  A place to find understanding as we explore our grief\, share coping strategies and begin to heal. \nMeets one Tuesday each  month from  6:30 – 7:30\nand one Saturday each month from 10:00 – 11:00 am\nin the Local History Room at the Gladys E.
